Senior Pakistan batsman and previous national skipper Younis Khan on Monday got away from a three-match boycott in the wake of apologizing for a column with umpires in a residential one-day competition.
Younis, 38, was fined 50 percent of his match charge and confronted a boycott for not going to the disciplinary hearing and pulling back from the competition.
He apologized for his conduct in a call with Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) director Shaharyar Khan.
A PCB news discharge affirmed the telephone call and statement of regret.
Younis was irate at a few umpiring choices in his group's two matches, yet denied acting up towards the umpires.
"I had questioned a no-ball which was above mid-section tallness and that is all," Younis told a private Pakistani Station. "I have given certifications that I will play the remaining matches so the matter closures here."
Younis is Pakistan's most elevated Test run-scorer, with 9,116 keeps running in 104 Tests.
